The faculty and staff of NYU Medical Center and friends and students of Trudy Dubinsky established this memorial in 1993. The first scholarship was given in 1994 to honor the memory of one whose love and dedication to ultrasound was apparent. Trudy's life was taken in a tragic accident, but it also left an indelible mark on the ultrasound profession.
Each year a scholarship is awarded to a student who exhibits the dedication, professionalism and love of ultrasound that personified Trudy. The award amount varies based on the investment returns of the previous year, but will fall within the range of $500-$1,000. The deadline for this scholarship is July 31 of each year. Applications and supporting documentation must be received by the Foundation on or before the deadline date.
As with the General scholarships and the SDMS Presidential Scholarship, you will need these items to apply:
- the completed application
- completed Need Analysis Form
- SAR letter (Canadian students would substitute their prior year’s tax return.)
- ACT/SAT scores or Official Transcripts
