Sonography Research Institute

The SDMS Foundation Sonography Research Institute (SRI) ​assists sonographers with acquiring the skills and expertise needed to conduct and publish original sonographic research. 

The SRI Program provides ​financial support, personal mentorship, and educational support to candidates, who are selected in a competitive review process, to participate in ​the program culminating with the publication of original sonographic research work products in the Journal of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (JDMS), the official journal of the SDMS (SRI Special Issue). Experienced sonographer researchers serve as faculty/mentors and provide candidates with the skills and competencies to meet the needs of an evolving professional and healthcare system.
