SDMS Educational Foundation
Registry Grant Program
The SDMS Educational Foundation has established a Registry Grant Program, slated to begin January 2008. This program, which joins current Foundation scholarship and grant programs for students and sonographers, will provide additional support to sonography students and reward them for attaining professional credentials through the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
Description
Grants in the amount of $400 will be awarded to students who have successfully completed both a sonography physics and specialty examination. A limited number of grants will be available during each calendar quarter and will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis.
Criteria
Grant applicant must:
- Be a graduate of a Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Canadian Medical Association (CMA) accredited sonography program,
- Receive an ARDMS credential within six (6) months of graduation,
- Be a Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (SDMS) member.
Guidelines
- Grants will be awarded as reimbursements,
- Applicant must submit: a) copy of their official pass notification/score report, b) copy of official ARDMS receipt of their payment for examination, and c) completed Registry Grant Application,
- Registry Grant Application and all supporting documentation must be received by the SDMS Educational Foundation within 30 calendar days of the date of the official pass notification/score report.
