      1. Call for Nominations - SDMS 2008 Elections and Awards

    SDMS members may use our online nomination form to submit their nominations for various association elected positions and awards including:

    Board of Directors

    • 1 open position for International "At-Large" Director
    • 3 open positions for "At-Large" Directors
    Committee Positions
    • 1 open position on the Finance Committee
    • 2 open positions on the Nominating Committee
    Awards
    • SDMS Fellow*
    * Additional form(s) must also be submitted.

      2. SDMS Delivers Quality Sonograms Brochure to Congress

    A brochure advocating the passage of the CARE bill was distributed to members of Congress and their key staff members during the Alliance's November Virtual March on Capitol Hill.

    The SDMS was among 20 organizations representing more than 750,000 allied health care professionals who participated in 'Project CARE' to rally support for this key piece of patient safety legislation.

      3. New JDMS Article and CME Post-Test Available

      5. News Wave Online Archive Now Available

    News Wave, SDMS's bi-monthly print newsletter, is now archived in PDF format on the SDMS website. Currently, all issues from 2004 to present are archived. The archiving of older issues of News Wave is an on-going project and the membership will be notified as this information is brought online and made accessible.

    Topic: How Many Patients are "Too Many"?

    I work in a private OB/GYN office with nine physicians. I perform GYN, NT, OB/GYN, 20 wk OB, and follow-up OB ultrasound exams. I currently scan 10-15 patients per day. I would like to know how many scans are done per day in other OB/GYN offices?
