The Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (SDMS) is a professional membership organization founded in 1970 to promote, advance, and educate its members and the medical community in the science of diagnostic medical sonography. The SDMS is the largest association of sonographers and sonography students in the world.
The SDMS is now accepting nominations for the Joan P. Baker Pioneer Award, SDMS Distinguished Educator Award, and the SDMS Fellow Membership.
All nominations are due by March 31, 2018.
Joan P. Baker Pioneer Award
The Joan P. Baker Pioneer Award was established in honor of Joan P. Baker, MSR, RDMS, RDCS, FSDMS for her significant contributions to the sonography profession. The award honors sonographers who have made a unique and outstanding contribution to the sonography profession.
SDMS Distinguished Educator Award
The SDMS Distinguished Educator Award honors exceptional educators in the field of diagnostic medical sonography.
SDMS Fellow Membership
The SDMS Fellow membership category recognizes the lifetime achievement of individual members who have made outstanding contributions to the field of sonography and to the SDMS. An SDMS Fellow exhibits outstanding professional accomplishments as well as continued membership and sustained engagement in SDMS activities.
Submissions for 2018 SDMS Scholarly Competitions
