SDMS Position Statement

Recognition of Credentialing Organization

A history of being in business as a national sonography credentialing registry for a minimum of five years.

A history of having credentialed a minimum of 1,000 sonographers.

Currently accredited by National Organization for Competency Assurance (NOCA) / National Commission for Certifying Agencies (NCCA) or American National Standards Institute (ANSI)

Maintain an open dialogue with the sonography professional community.

"Active" SDMS member status requires the member to hold current registration from a sonography credentialing body recognized by the Board of Directors (see SDMS Bylaws). Sonography credentialing organization(s) who have met the requirements above and are currently recognized by SDMS include:
