SDMS Fellow
The SDMS Fellow membership category recognizes the lifetime achievement of individual members who have made outstanding contributions to the field of sonography and to the SDMS. An SDMS Fellow is known for their outstanding professional accomplishments as well sustained engagement in SDMS activities and continued SDMS membership.

The SDMS Distinguished Educator Award honors an exceptional educator in the field of diagnostic medical sonography who is uses innovative teaching methods to promote life-long learning.

SDMS Foundation Scholarship Program
The SDMS Foundation Sonography Student and Advanced Degree Scholarship Programs provide a $2,500 scholarship to deserving sonography students and sonographers who have been accepted or are currently enrolled in a diagnostic medical sonography or cardiovascular technology educational program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).

SDMS Foundation Research Grants
The SDMS Foundation Research Grant Program provides support for innovative research projects which advance the field of diagnostic medical sonography. Applicants are required to present a unique or immediate relevance to the profession and the SDMS Foundation, to undergo education and mentorship throughout their research, and to submit their findings to the Journal of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (JDMS) for publication.

Rivka and her co-investigators Artur Babayan, MD, Iryna Struk, MS, RDMS, RDCS, RVT, and Marie Roberts, PhD, RN will evaluate the effects of placental location on maternal and neonatal outcomes.
SDMS Foundation Emerging Leaders Program
The SDMS Foundation Emerging Leaders Program identifies and mentors future leaders in the sonography field. Participants virtually attend a variety of leadership education opportunities and engage in meaningful dialogue and projects related to the future of the profession and leadership volunteerism. At the end of the program, one participant is selected to represent the cohort at the fall SDMS and SDMS Foundation Board of Directors Meetings and the SDMS Annual Conference.
