These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) apply to all users of the SDMS EdPro Library provided by Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (“SDMS,” “we,” “our,” or “us”).
By accessing the EdPro Library, you agree to these Terms. SDMS reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. The most current version will be posted at LINK.
Students / Users
1. Your Account
- You must have an active SDMS account to access the EdPro Library. SDMS membership is not required.
- Your access is provided by your educational program and is for your use only.
- You are responsible for keeping your login information secure. Do not share your username or password with anyone else.
2. Authorized Use
- You may use the SDMS EdPro Library only for educational purposes during your institution’s subscription period.
- You may stream and view videos, read transcripts, and complete knowledge check quizzes.
- You may download your personal certificates of completion, but not the video or transcript files themselves.
3. Prohibited Activities
You may not:
- Share or distribute any SDMS EdPro Library content outside your program.
- Download, record, copy, or post videos.
- Share your login credentials with anyone else.
- Use the content for commercial or clinical training outside your institution.
Violation of these rules may result in loss of access and other legal remedies.
4. Intellectual Property
All SDMS EdPro Library content is owned by SDMS and its licensors. Your access does not give you ownership or any rights beyond the ability to view and use the content during your subscription.
5. Access Period
Your access lasts for the duration of your educational program’s subscription. When the subscription ends, your access will be disabled. You may keep any completion certificates earned but not the content itself.

7. Policy Violations
SDMS may suspend or terminate your access at any time if you violate these Terms or misuse the content. This includes unauthorized sharing, copying, or distribution.
8. Privacy
Your information is collected and used in accordance with the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography Privacy Policy. SDMS does not sell your data.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
Educators / Purchasers
1. Definitions
- “SDMS EdPro Library” refers to the collection of educational videos, transcripts, quizzes, and related materials made available through the SDMS EdPro Library catalog section of the SDMS Learning Center.
- “Purchaser” refers to the institution, organization, or individual who purchases the SDMS EdPro Library subscription.
- “User” refers to any student, faculty member, or program director who is granted access to the SDMS EdPro Library.
- “Subscription Term” means the six- or twelve-month period beginning on the Start Date selected by the Purchaser.
2. Access & Accounts
- Access to the SDMS EdPro Library requires an active SDMS account. SDMS membership is not required.
- Purchasers are responsible for providing accurate user rosters and ensuring each user has a valid email address.
- Users must maintain the confidentiality of their login credentials and may not share accounts with others.
- SDMS may suspend or terminate access if accounts are shared or used in violation of these Terms.
3. Subscription Grant
- SDMS grants Purchasers a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable subscription to access the SDMS EdPro Library during the Subscription Term.
- Access is limited to the number of users purchased.
- Content is subscribed to, not sold. Ownership of all intellectual property remains with SDMS and its licensors.
4. Permitted & Prohibited Use
Permitted:
- Users may stream and view SDMS EdPro Library content for educational and instructional purposes.
- Educators may integrate content into their courses during the active subscription term.
Prohibited:
- Downloading, copying, reproducing, or distributing any SDMS EdPro Library content without prior written consent.
- Sharing login credentials, passwords, or links with individuals who are not enrolled users.
- Embedding, redistributing, or using content outside the subscription institution or beyond the subscription term.
- Removing copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices from SDMS EdPro Library materials.
5. Intellectual Property
All SDMS EdPro Library content is protected by U.S. and international copyright and intellectual property laws. SDMS retains all rights, title, and interest in and to the SDMS EdPro Library. No rights are granted except as expressly stated in these Terms.
6. Subscription Term & Renewal
- Subscriptions are available for six (6) or twelve (12) months.
- Subscriptions do not automatically renew. Renewal must be completed by the Purchaser.
- At the end of the Subscription Term, all user access will be disabled. Users may retain certificates of completion but not access to videos or transcripts.
7. Payment & Billing
- Full payment (or valid Purchase Order) must be received before access is activated.
- Subscriptions are non-refundable and non-prorated.
- Additional user seats can be purchased but cannot be removed once activated.
8. Security & Compliance
- Purchasers are responsible for ensuring that their users comply with these Terms.
- Any suspected unauthorized use must be reported immediately to SDMS.
- SDMS reserves the right to audit user activity and revoke access for violations.
9. Termination
SDMS may terminate access without refund if Users or Purchasers violate these Terms. This includes, but is not limited to, content sharing, piracy, or other misuse.
10. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
- SDMS makes no guarantees regarding uninterrupted or error-free access to the SDMS EdPro Library.
- SDMS is not responsible for internet connectivity or device compatibility issues.
- To the fullest extent permitted by law, SDMS disclaims all liability for any damages arising from use of the SDMS EdPro Library.
11. Privacy
User information is collected and used in accordance with the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography Privacy Policy. SDMS does not sell user data.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict of law principles.
