Learning Activity Types:

SDMS Clinical Reviews are learning resources consisting of practical, procedure-based, and patient-focused activities that enable sonographers to re-familiarize themselves with various topics and procedures. SDMS Clinical Reviews are available for free to both members and non-members but SDMS CME credit is not available for completing SDMS Clinical Reviews.

Journal of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (JDMS) learning activities are derived from articles published in the JDMS. They offer interactive content and an audio version of each article is also included to enhance and support the overall learning experience. JDMS learning activities are available for free to SDMS members and for purchase to non-members. Learners can earn SDMS CME credit upon successful completion of the associated post-test.

SDMS video-based learning activities showcase a video presented by one or more guest speakers about various sonography topics. They include a full-length video and a written transcript of that video. The SDMS video-based learning activities are available for free to SDMS members and for purchase to non-members. Learners can earn SDMS CME credit upon successful completion of the associated post-test.

SDMS Poster learning activities are derived from the SDMS Sonographer and Student Poster Competitions. The competition encourages sonographers and students to further their research in the field and their respective careers by creating posters of findings in original research, literature reviews, or case studies. SDMS Poster learning activities are available for free to SDMS members and for purchase to non-members. Learners can earn SDMS CME credit upon successful completion of the associated post-test.

The SDMS Institutes feature learning activities that foster professional development. The line-up includes videos, text lessons, and various interactive elements. Each activity is designed to help users learn about key concepts and best practices in sonography while providing important tools to enhance their careers. The SDMS Institutes learning activities are available for free to SDMS members and for purchase to non-members.
