Credentialed Sonographer Workplace
Does your employer require that you pass and maintain one or more sonography credentials? Is this practice true for all sonographers in your facility? If so, the SDMS would like to officially thank and recognize your organization for hiring and supporting only credentialed sonographers. Qualification criteria for the Credentialed Sonographer Workplace recognition program includes documentation that an employer complies with the following SDMS position statements:
- Sonographer Credentialing
- Non-Diagnostic Use of Ultrasound for Entertainment Purposes in the Obstetrical Setting
Please complete the online Credentialed Workplace Program form, indicating that all sonographers in your facility are credentialed and that the organization complies with the SDMS positions listed above. When this verification is received, the SDMS will send you a Credentialed Sonographer Workplace certificate of recognition. Your organization’s name will also appear in our recognition lists.
Once approved, recognition will be provided for a period of one year, at which time the employer will be contacted with program recognition extension information. Each organization will be recognized once but may display the certificate at multiple locations or facilities that meet the program requirements.
Approved Credentialed Sonographer Workplaces also qualify for a discount on SDMS Organizational Membership.
