SDMS Foundation Launches $300,000 Fundraising Campaign

PLANO, Texas -
The Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography Foundation (SDMS Foundation) has announced a three-year, $300,000 fundraising campaign that began Oct. 1, 2015. The campaign’s theme is, “Sonography. Our Passion. Our Future,” and is the largest fundraising effort in the Foundation’s history. The campaign launch coincided with the start of the 2015 SDMS Annual Conference in Dallas.

Since its 2009 inception, the SDMS Foundation has awarded more than a half million dollars to support programs that advance diagnostic medical sonography through research and education. By reaching a goal of $300,000 over the next three years, it hopes to offer assistance to more sonography students and sonographers and create new ways to foster professional learning and excellence. The SDMS Foundation currently supports the sonography community through the following scholarships, grants, and programs:

•    Advance Degree Scholarships
•    Certification Examination Grants
•    SDMS Annual Conference Grants
•    International Sonography Assistance Program
•    Sonography Research Institute Program
•    Sonography Clinical Instructor Program
