The SDMS is pleased to announce the selection of
Kevin D. Evans, PhD, RT(R)(M)(BD), RDMS, RVS, FSDMS
as the incoming Journal of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (JDMS) Editor-in-Chief

Kevin D. Evans, PhD, RT(R)(M)(BD), RDMS, RVS, FSDMS will commence his term as JDMS Editor-in-Chief beginning January 1, 2017. The JDMS Editor-in-Chief manages the editorial content of the JDMS that is published bimonthly by the SDMS, and features the latest original research, case studies, literature reviews, and information about the sonography industry.

Dr. Evans is a tenured Professor at The Ohio State University's College of Medicine and the School of Health and Rehabilitation Sciences and works as a researcher and educator. He received his undergraduate and graduate degrees at The Ohio State University, and has over 100 publications that span journal articles, abstracts, multiple textbook chapters, and his own textbook. Dr. Evans has served as the Chair of ARDMS, Chair of the ARDMS Breast Foundation, and President of the SDMS and SDMS Foundation Board of Directors. He also serves on the editorial boards for the American Journal of Health Behavior and Ultrasound in Medicine and Biology. 

The SDMS would like to thank Phillip Bendick, PhD, RVT, FSDMS for his leadership of the JDMS since 2012. His term will conclude at the end of this year. Under his guidance, the Journal has grown in influence and remained a valued resource within the sonography community. We wish Phil the best in all of his future endeavors.
