Do you know an SDMS member whose body of work in sonography represents innovative and outstanding contributions?
Nominate Them for the Joan P. Baker Pioneer Award
Joan P. Baker, MSR, RDMS, RDCS, FSDMS, was the first president of the SDMS and the ARDMS and she led the creation of the sonography occupation under the Office of Education in 1973. Her achievements are voluminous. The award is given only when a qualified candidate can be identified.
Perhaps you have met an exceptional diagnostic medical sonography educator who is creatively forming the minds of future sonographers and fostering a culture of lifelong learning.
We’d Love You to Nominate Them for the SDMS Distinguished Educator Award
Your nominee should have taught in a CAAHEP-accredited sonography program (or equivalent) for five years or more, be nationally credentialed, and be a model of dedication to teaching, innovation, and students.
SDMS Fellow Membership is like a sonography Hall of Fame because it recognizes individuals for lifetime achievement and outstanding contributions to the field.
