The mission of the Society of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (SDMS) Foundation is to provide educational and scientific research support to the medical community and general public, relating to diagnostic medical sonography. The SDMS Foundation fosters professional learning and excellence by working to improve the field of diagnostic medical sonography. The SDMS Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable, nonprofit organization.

SDMS Foundation Emerging Leaders Program | $7,500

The SDMS Foundation Emerging Leaders Program annually invites a cohort of students and recent graduates to be mentored as future leaders in the sonography field and with SDMS. Program participants participate virtually in a variety of leadership education opportunities, designed to engage them in meaningful dialogue and projects related to the future of the profession and leadership volunteerism. The experience culminates with one (1) member of the cohort (chosen based on participation, project/assignment completion, and other factors) receiving a grant to attend the fall SDMS and SDMS Foundation Board of Directors Meetings and SDMS Annual Conference free of charge (including travel). All other participants receive a free year of SDMS membership and complimentary registration to the SDMS Annual Conference.

This partnership agreement is an exclusive offer for a donation of $7,500 to the SDMS Foundation.

Benefits Include:

Company recognition on SDMS Foundation Emerging Leaders website landing page
Company recognition as program partner on all social media posts related to the program
Company recognition as program partner on full page printed Journal of Diagnostic Medical Sonography recognition of the cohort and grant recipient
Company recognition on all program documents (i.e., application form, program curriculum)
Verbal company recognition during each live program module call
Opportunity for company representatives to be present/involved for one (1) Module live program call (details to be discussed with SDMS staff upon curriculum development)
Verbal recognition onsite at the SDMS Annual Conference during recognition of the grant recipient
Opportunity for up to two (2) representatives to be present at a scheduled lunch onsite at the SDMS Annual Conference honoring the cohort

SDMS Foundation Volunteer Leadership Program | $7,500

The SDMS Foundation Volunteer Leadership Program, offered every two years, invites a cohort of sonographers to be mentored as future leaders within SDMS. The program provides participants with the opportunity to observe the SDMS volunteer and leadership structure, gain insight into governance processes, and network with experienced leaders and subject matter experts in the field.

The cohort will participate in a variety of volunteer and leadership education opportunities, designed to engage them in meaningful dialogue and projects related to volunteerism within SDMS. The program culminates with the opportunity for all participants to be considered for future SDMS volunteer positions, with one member of the cohort selected to attend the SDMS and SDMS Foundation Board of Directors Fall and Spring meetings as a guest.

SDMS Virtual Event Sponsorship Policies

SDMS Virtual Event partnership and sponsorship opportunities are available for SDMS members and those vendors who promote and support the sonography community.

Contract/Payment

Once an SDMS Virtual Event partnership or sponsorship is requested (written or verbal), execution of the agreement and payment are required immediately unless otherwise specified in the agreement. Failure to submit payment accordingly will result in the loss of the partnership or sponsorship.

Partnerships, sponsorships, and advertising are non-refundable, unless otherwise stated within the agreement.

Terms/Benefits

Contract terms and benefits will be implemented as specified in the agreement.

Right of First Refusal

Current SDMS partners and sponsors will be given the right of first refusal for future opportunities. Partners and sponsors will be contacted within 90 days of their current agreement end date to continue their partnership or sponsorship for the following year. Any opportunities not claimed by the deadline provided by SDMS staff will be available for purchase via the SDMS Prospectus.
