As sonographers, none of us arrived where we are on our own. Each of us has benefited from educators who taught us, mentors who guided us, and colleagues who supported us as we learned and grew. That shared responsibility to educate and support one another was the impetus behind the creation of the SDMS EdPro Library.

Some of you may have heard about the SDMS EdPro Library at the SDMS Annual Conference or through communications sent specifically to sonography educators. However, many of you may be unfamiliar with it. The SDMS created the SDMS EdPro Library to support sonography educators and students with high-quality, educational content designed to enhance classroom and scan lab instruction.

Even if you are not an educator or are well beyond your student years, this initiative matters. By supporting and strengthening sonography educational programs the SDMS helps ensure that the next generation of sonographers enters the profession well prepared and ready to make a difference.

As President, I am proud of the ways SDMS continues to evolve to meet the needs of our members and the profession. The SDMS EdPro Library is one example of how we are working behind the scenes to support sonographers at every stage of their journey.
