Research Grants | Up to $5000
Submit a unique and compelling research proposal to the SDMS Foundation and you may earn a grant and a chance to publish your findings.

Evans Undergraduate Research Grant  | $1000
Are you an undergraduate student enrolled in a bachelor’s degree program in sonography or a related discipline? Do you have the itch to pitch a unique sonography-related research topic? Apply to the Evans Undergraduate Research Grant Program for the help you need to get started.

Student Scholarships  |  $2500
SDMS student members, if you are participating in sonography educational programs accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Educational Programs (CAAHEP), this scholarship offers you the opportunity to significantly slash your educational costs.

Advanced Degree Scholarships  |  $2500
Sonographers, reduce the cost your advanced sonography education. Eligibility for this award includes enrollment in a sonography-related bachelor’s, master’s, or doctoral degree program and at least two years of full-time sonography experience.

Educational Grants  |  Up to $600
Sonographers, educators, and sonography students, access fund to attend the SDMS Annual Conference so that you can learn, network, and earn SDMS CME credits.

Certification Examination Grants  |  $250

The SDMS Foundation Certification Examination Grant Program provides grants to deserving sonography students and sonographers who wish to further their career by earning additional certifications or specialties. Approved applicants receive a check for $250 following proof of successful exam completion.

International Assistance Grants  |  Up to $1000
SDMS members working internationally in sonography can apply for reimbursement of travel and/or work costs.

Hardship Grants  |  $175
Financial hardship doesn’t have to derail your SDMS membership status or ability to earn required CME credits. The SDMS Foundation Hardship Grant is your helping hand in times of need.

Emerging Leaders Program
The Emerging Leaders Program provides valuable exposure to the profession, mentorship opportunities, and a free year of SDMS membership to all participants. The program culminates with one member of the cohort receiving a grant to attend the fall SDMS and SDMS Foundation Board of Directors meetings and the SDMS Annual Conference.
