The SDMS is preparing to update its Model Job Descriptions for Diagnostic Medical Sonographers, and we are inviting input from the sonography community before the revision process begins.

As the profession continues to grow and adapt to changes in healthcare, it’s essential that the model job descriptions accurately reflect current clinical practice, workforce expectations, and the wide range of responsibilities held by sonographers today. Your insights are critical to this effort.

• Staff Sonographer
• Advanced Sonographer
• Lead Sonographer
• Sonography Manager

Your comments will help ensure the documents remain clear, relevant, and aligned with the Scope of Practice and Clinical Standards for the Diagnostic Medical Sonographer.
